Thank you for visiting. It’s lovely to have you. My name is Angela and I am passionate about Jesus. The Lord placed the idea for this blog on my heart one day and I’ve been excited to begin the process ever since. Although this content is primarily meant to encourage believers to live a life devoted to Christ, no matter what you believe, I hope you are able to receive something positive and encouraging from your visit. The name of this blog is inspired by 1 Corinthians 6:19, which asks every believer an incredibly important question:
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.”New International Version (NIV)
That last part pretty much sums it up and quells any confusion on that matter. We are God’s creation and therefore belong to Him. I believe that God never meant for that reality to be as mystified as it can sometimes appear; hence, For the Temple was formed. As this idea was brought to life, there were three main components that felt crucial to highlight in order to provide content with a holistic focus.
3 Pillars of Encouragement
Faith: Jesus called His followers to pick up their cross and follow Him, living a life of submission and obedience. Through the devotional content and biblical studies shared, believers are motivated to evaluate their spiritual life, take inventory, and implement practical tools for an increased ability to follow Christ’s example and live according to God’s word.
Lifestyle: Living a life submitted to Christ requires intentionality, fortitude, and discipline. That level of commitment can be difficult to maintain consistently. My hope is for this content to provide support as believers, new and seasoned, navigate the purposeful path God called them to.
Wellness: Jesus said that He came to offer us an abundant life through relationship with Him. Yet, so many people are suffering in silence and seclusion rather than enjoying community as well as true fellowship with our Heavenly Father. My background in mental health deepens my conviction that each person deserves more than the mundane regarding their well-being. With God-centered principles and awareness that there are many barriers to a person’s ability to thrive, I desire to share content that normalizes the human experience, inspires growth, and provides insight as readers are invited to join me along the journey to wholeness as God intended.
As you take a look around, I hope you’ll be encouraged to take the plunge into new or deeper faith in Christ and inspired use these tools in your own life.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you’ll visit again soon.
