For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Today’s post is for the heart that longs for purpose to be fulfilled at a time when God instructs you to wait on Him. It can be incredibly hard to manage one’s emotions at a time like this. Yet, the Lord, in His Sovereignty, knows that this patient journey in progress is what you need to fulfill His purpose, in due time.
A loving Father does not rush the development of His children. Instead, He patiently guides them along the journey of growth, perfecting that which concerns them along the way. The long way around the mountain can feel excruciating. Yet, God is faithful. He will never leave you short or empty-handed. In every moment, as tears leave your eyes and your heart begins to hope for what you once gave up on…God is there with you and for you, lovingly correcting the steps you take as you learn to plant your feet in wisdom.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Proverbs 9:10 NIV
Wisdom can best be understood as a house built on a secure foundation. When we begin to move ahead of God in our decision-making, we are demonstrating a lack of understanding. God must always be the one leading us in every endeavor. Anything else is built on an insecure foundation and cannot withstand the test and trials of this life.
It can be easy to lean into the temptation to push past this reality, hoping to see the fruitful outcome, even before the appointed time. Yet, if we allow the wisdom of God to lead us instead, we will find that the fruit it produces is much sweeter than anything we can produce on our own.
In the midst of your season of struggle, please remember this truth: God has never forgotten about you. You are never left empty. Do not let the enemy steal the joy that awaits you around the corner you least expect. I’ll say it again. God is with you. He is here, nearer than your breath. Closer than your skin. He is with you. Allow that truth to sink into your heart and to transform your inner turmoil to abounding hope, everlasting peace, and abundant joy. God loves you and He has been waiting for you to accept His love gift from the moment that you were crafted in your mother’s womb.
For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
Allow this message of truth to remind you of what God already said and always believes about you. His message doesn’t change. He remains consistent in His pursuit of your heart and I promise you this, He will win you over. You are safe with Him, beloved child.
Remember, you are His great work. You are His prized possession and His glowing treasure. You are His beloved creation and He has great plans for you.
